For resorts

Resort management software that follows the whole stay

A resort sells a stay made of rooms, meals and activities, and runs it with several departments. Hemmz keeps the reservation, the room, the extras and the bill on one platform, so each department works from the same stay.

A small resort seen from above in late-afternoon sun: low white buildings with tiled roofs among palms and pines beside a long pool lined with sunbeds and parasols, one guest reading and one walking, with dry mountains behind.

The problem

What gets in the way

01

The bill is put together at check-out

Dinner is in the restaurant till, the activity is on a paper list and the room is in the front desk system. At check-out someone adds them up by hand, and a missed charge is found after the guest has left.

02

Each department keeps its own list

Reception, housekeeping, the restaurant and the activity desk each work from a different sheet. When a guest changes dates, some of those sheets hear about it and some do not.

03

Agency and company business runs on email

Contract rates sit in a spreadsheet, bookings arrive as attachments and the invoice is typed at the end of the month. Nobody can say quickly what an agency has booked or what it owes.

04

Activities are promised from a notebook

A guest asks at the desk whether there is space on tomorrow's trip, and the answer is on a clipboard somewhere else. Places are promised twice, or a session leaves with seats nobody knew were free.

The answer

How Hemmz helps

One folio for the whole stay

Available to founding propertiesProperty management

The folio opens at check-in and collects the nights, anything charged to the room and anything the desk posts by hand. Each line carries a tax class, so accommodation, meals and activities are each taxed at their own rate. The night audit lists what is still open, and closing the day seals its records.

Activities with sessions and capacity

Available to founding propertiesExperiences, add-ons and loyalty

Each experience has scheduled sessions with a set number of places, and a session stops taking guests when it is full. An experience can be sold as an extra on a booking or included in a package. Paid add-ons sit on the stay with their date and time, and staff have a list of what is due each day.

Restaurant charges on the room bill, in pilot

Restaurant and point of sale is in pilot. In the pilot, waiters open a table, send the order to a kitchen display and charge the check to an in-house guest's room, where each item appears as a line on the folio. Cash sales with receipts and cashier sessions are in the pilot too. It does not yet connect a card terminal in the restaurant.

Agency and company accounts with their own portal

Available to founding propertiesAgency and company portal

Each agency or company has an account with its contracted rates. Its bookers sign in to a portal, see the account's bookings and book at those rates. Stays can be billed to the account, with a receivables ledger and statements that show what is owed.

Housekeeping and maintenance tied to arrivals

Available to founding propertiesHousekeeping and maintenance

The housekeeping board sorts the day by arrival: rooms due soon, rooms running late and rooms waiting for inspection. Check-in is refused for a room that is not ready. A work order follows a fault from report to approval and can hold the room out of use, which also takes it off sale.

Questions

Questions hoteliers ask

Is the resort management software available now?

Most of the platform is available to our founding properties, who are rolling it out with us stage by stage. Restaurant and point of sale is in pilot, and connections to online travel agencies are in development. Ask for a demo and we will say plainly what is ready for a resort like yours.

Can one company run more than one property?

Yes. One account can hold several properties, each with its own time zone, currency, rooms and rates. Staff are given access property by property, so a receptionist at one resort sees that resort's arrivals and rooms.

Does a dinner in the restaurant reach the guest's bill?

In the pilot, yes. A waiter charges the check to an in-house guest's room and each item appears as its own line on the folio. Restaurant and point of sale is still in pilot, so we agree with each property whether it is ready for their outlets.

Do we have to replace every system at once?

No. The rollout is staged. Your current systems stay in use until each replacement has been tested and accepted, and nothing is charged for a service you cannot yet use.
